Here are a couple of 5-star google reviews on lessons taken with me:
“I have been singing for over 40 years now and I had not taken Vocal Instruction for a long time, so I was a bit nervous. After doing some research, I decided upon Margaret Lampasi. I was very pleased with the reception I received from her and felt very comfortable going into this. After 4 or 5 lessons I cannot believe the improvement and how the new stylings and techniques she has taught me that helped my own vocal progress. Very pleasant lady and very easy to work with, I would most definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a vocal instructor.”
“Margaret is first and foremost a talented singer, and second, a wonderful and inspiring teacher. She has helped me learn new skills, new ways of thinking about singing, and has helped me become comfortable singing in my own voice. Margaret brings kindness, empathy, expert knowledge, and humor to every lesson. I always leave my lesson inspired to practice what I have learned and to sing!”
Join us for this upcoming concert!
My life’s delight is singing and sharing music of all kinds with others– from beautiful “high art” to the fun and somewhat lowbrow. And as you see, my latest recital is entitled just that! I hope you can join me and my beloved pianist Michael Clement who is not only a fabulous classical musician but one with great “chops” for jazz playing, too. Our aim is to delight you.
We will perform songs and arias of Bach, Mozart, Arlen (composer of “Somewhere over the Rainbow” and other standards), Moore, Quilter, Schubert, and Fauré. Included is a hilarious piece about the Voice Teaching World— the one in which I live. The audio sample is below:

Do you know someone who loves to sing and always wanted to take voice lessons? Or maybe they want to see if they can sing? It is my belief and experience that everyone can sing with the right information and guidance. A package of 6 lessons is a great way to start the learning process.
To make it easier for folks I am making a special offer: 6 lessons for the price of 5. That is a $60 savings – essentially you get a free lesson. Normally priced at $360, this package is available for $300. Sessions must be weekly or biweekly. This offer is valid for new students only.
Lessons are completely individualized. I work to capitalize on a student’s strengths while bolstering their areas of weakness. Happy Holidays!

This is a reprise of the program pianist Michael Clement and I did at the College of Saint Rose in May – and even better this second time around!
Slightly abridged, it will still have songs in English, humorous selections and spoken introductions – all trimmed nicely to fit into an hour and 15 minute timeframe.
My mission is to make classical art song accessible and enjoyable to all people – including those utterly unfamiliar with it – which is most people! 🙂
I hope you will join us for “Take Off”! My sincere aim is that you too will feel airborne from this beautiful and interesting program… Scroll down for even more info. – Margaret

Birds, winged insects – as well as a few “UFO’s” — make their appearances! And there will of course be plenty of gorgeous music to set spirits soaring…

I will be giving a very appealing recital of songs on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 in the Picotte Recital Hall at the Massry Center for the Arts. This is on the College of Saint Rose campus in Albany, 1002 Madison Ave.
Experience music guaranteed to get you in the spirit of Spring-time energies!
Lively, colorful Spanish and Spanish-inspired music (composers: Granados Bizet, Delibes), the famous, effervescent waltz, “Voices of Spring” by Johann Strauss, as well as a poignant English song cycle by Simon Sargon based on poems by Sara Teasdale, and more, are on the program.
Two pieces with flute begins things, setting the relaxing, enjoyable mood with me as your Song-hostess for the evening! I do hope you and your friends can join me. I am sure this appealing program will leave you feeling uplifted by the beauty of song and happy it is finally Spring!
May 13, 2012 (actually Mother’s Day) was my special solo recital “A Breath of Spring Air”. It was a delightful success and enjoyable time for all. I was honored to read someone’s comment in my book, “Breathtaking!”, and to hear someone else say the event was “the best Mother’s Day she’s had in a long time.”
More recently, the very same recital program was accepted into Tuesdays at NOON concert series at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. That means I will be singing in a concert hall with world-class acoustics in December! What an exciting thing for me…
June 24, 2012 (a week after Father’s Day) I hosted a student recital in Queensbury, NY at the Unitarian Universalist Church. Always a treat, Carol Ann Elze accompanied students in their songs as students gained valuable experience performing for friends and family. Every student felt good and supported. Many thanks to the supportive and appreciative audience!
